TGP International, Expo 2020

In our role, we catered to over 600,000 attendees at the recent UN Climate Change Conference, delivering menus that were two -thirds vegan and vegetarian across 136 F&B locations and curating an incredible collection of local and socially responsible food and beverage providers. Serving over 1 million meals throughout a diverse mix of outlets, including restaurants, food halls, carts, kiosks, and the world’s first vegan food truck park, we were privileged to offer both support and guidance to all our partners in adherence with Expo City Dubai’s (ECD) high sustainability standards and a low 1.5 ° C degrees carbon footprint threshold across all menus. Underpinning our strategy was our commitment to TGP’s Inclusive Hospitality initiative, with the event’s momentum and calibre providing the perfect opportunity to bring together distinguished industry leaders and create a platform for using F&B and Hospitality as vehicle for making tangible progress on many of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Byron Bathers Club

The Byron Bathers Club focuses on sustainable seafood where an eclectic inclusive menu comes into play – jam packed with options for everyone from the land and the sea.

Diners can enjoy a laid back, outdoor experience in the tropical garden of Ulu’s Oyster Bar or under the Santorini style umbrellas of Tigerlilys’ Beach. With a separate children’s playground space, visible from the outdoor dining areas, parents can tuck into some Byron delights.

RAW Coffee Company

RAW

RAW is operated on a daily basis by owners Kim Thompson and Matt Toogood, both holding the first International Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Diploma qualification in the MENA region.

Although both Kim and Matt hold New Zealand passports, they are longtime residents of Dubai, and RAW is proudly a UAE business startup. Kim founded RAW in 2007 after noticing a gap in the market, and Matt joined her a couple of years later, and together they are now 50% partners and have organically grown RAW with their own investment. 

They are a great example of a successful business partnership, each bringing different leadership styles and strengths. Awarded entrepreneurial golden visas and awards for their recognition to the F&B sector, they enjoy leading, innovating and disrupting the growing Middle Eastern specialty coffee industry.


RAW currently operates from a custom-built 13500 sqft working roastery café. This industrial space also houses a SCA premier training campus to provide training for coffee professionals and home enthusiasts alike.

Their core is sourcing, roasting and supplying premium coffee to the local B2B and B2C markets.
